Jaspe started in 2026 in Malta. I am Nani — I wanted candles that looked as good unlit as they smelled burning. Candles designed for specific moments: a long dinner, a clear bathroom, a quiet desk.
I pour every candle by hand in small batches. I use 100% soy wax. Each drop is a limited run — a distinct concept with its own aesthetic. When a drop sells out, it is gone. New drops arrive with a fresh idea.
Jaspe is not a wellness brand. It is not a spa brand. I make objects for real rooms — warm industrial shapes in cement, stone and ceramic tones that earn a permanent place on your shelf.
The approach

We lead with form and scene, not fragrance notes and health claims. A candle that looks good unlit is a better object. We happen to use soy wax and considered scents — but the design comes first.
Scene-based, not category-based
Every Jaspe candle is made for somewhere specific. Dinner table. Bathroom. Desk. The scene shapes the scent, the weight, the burn time. That is the product brief.

Are Jaspe candles made with soy wax?
Yes. Every Jaspe candle is made with 100% soy wax — no paraffin or blends. We chose soy for the finish, scent and way it works with our forms, not as a wellness or safety claim. The exact wax, weight and estimated burn time are listed on every product page.
How long do Jaspe candles burn?
Estimated burn times range from 20 to 55 hours depending on the object. Each product page lists the exact figure. Trim the wick to 5 mm before each use, keep the candle away from drafts and allow the surface to melt evenly on the first burn.
Where are Jaspe candles made?
Every candle is hand-poured by Nani in Malta. We work in small batches, which means each drop is limited. When a drop sells out, it is gone — we do not restock. New drops arrive with a fresh concept and aesthetic.
Do you ship outside Malta?
Currently we ship within Malta only — free delivery on every order. We are working on European shipping and will announce it when it is ready. If you are based outside Malta and would like to place a larger order, get in touch via melizajaspe@gmail.com.
How do I place an order?
You can order any candle directly via WhatsApp — just tap "Add to bag" on any product and it will open a pre-filled message. We will confirm your order, arrange payment and deliver to your door in Malta.
Are Jaspe candles safe around children and pets?
Every candle is an open flame, regardless of wax type. Keep it away from children and pets, never leave it unattended, place it on a stable heat-resistant surface and keep it away from drafts. Trim the wick before use and do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
